The people of Andhra Pradesh celebrate all festivals with great pomp and grandeur. The important festivals here are Ganesh Chaturthi, Dusherra, Diwali, Christmas, New Year, Ugadi, Shankaranthi, Shivaratri, Holi, Mahankali Jatra and Id-ul-Fitr.
